W. Eugene Smith: This Photo is Blowing My Mind

W. Eugene Smith, 1957I recently came across a slide show of Kodachrome images on the Fortune magazine Web site. Included in the mix were a number of rare images by black and white masters Ansel Adams and Walker Evans. However, the real stunner of the group is the image above from W. Eugene Smith. In this glorious photo he manages to evoke both menace and mundanity and leaves me hoping the Fortune
